Come With Me By Yourselves… DIY Series #1

If the enemy can’t make you bad, he will make you busy. Consequently living life in the fast lane has become customary. The daily grind of marriage, kids, jobs, finances, health issues, extended family and church keep us on the treadmill of busy. Years pass as the speed increases and we find ourselves running on a path we never intended to follow. How can that change?
Today, we embark on our first step of the “Do it Yourself” series. God has called us to do some things on our own. He knew that doing it our self would be foundational in growing our faith. We’d become stronger, more courageous and equipped to live out our purpose. Let’s take our first step……
Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest…..Mark 6:31.
You are invited to come. Jesus has asked you to come with him. That by itself is awesome, but “come” is a willing action we have to do. It is a choice. God never has nor ever will force himself on anyone. He lets you make the choice to willfully move toward him. Have you ever pondered that God WANTS to spend time with YOU?
This invitation is to come to a quiet place……serene, peaceful, and calm. Who wouldn’t want that? One of my favorite happenings is to be with my husband, sitting in a boat on a lake in a quiet cove soaking in the sun and reading a book. That describes a quiet place for me. Where is your quiet place?
Matthew 11:28 & 29 says, “Come to me all you who are wearied and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
The quiet place God calls you is where you will get filled, encouraged, loved on, taught and guided. Miraculously as these attributes are being lavished on you, finding rest for your soul also occurs.
What’s holding you back? Step up and receive his invitation today…….
