Although, mold has probably been around for many years also, it is the newest scare.  If mold is detected the alarm is sounded.  Homeowners contact their insurance companies, and lucky for me, my […]

By Dana Rausch / May 31, 2011

May 31, 2011  React or respond – which comes naturally to you? React means to respond to something by showing the feelings or thoughts it arouses. Sometimes it can be ugly, because it is based out of feelings and thoughts.  Can you trust your emotions or feelings? No, because emotions are not always based on […]

PRECONCEIVED IDEAS

By Dana Rausch / February 21, 2011

February 21, 2011 I’m sorry I was wrong. These five simple words are so difficult to say. To most people, they don’t feel the need to say it. To many it is admitting defeat, and they refuse to lose. For others, their pride gets in the way and they won’t admit it. There are a […]

Get In the Game

By Dana Rausch / February 14, 2011

February 14, 2011 A picture was taken by a friend of mine at the Colorado versus Hawaii football game of my son. February 11, 2011  The fleeting thought of being the submissive wife sped through my mind. I don’t know what it is about that word that makes my hair stand on end just hearing it. That word and Proverbs 31 both tend to scream in my ear….”You will never achieve that status!” But  I wanted to […]

By Dana Rausch / January 24, 2011

January 24, 2011 Bill, my eighty eight year old friend, experienced a transformation this week. After three years of cleaning his mobile home and never seeing results, he finally agreed to replace the flooring. He lives alone, is considered legally blind (although can see some distance) and is unaware of the filthy condition of his […]

CONVERSATIONS

By Dana Rausch / January 13, 2011

January 13, 2011 Kitchens are a fearful place for me. As my Mom used to say, “I would buy a house without a kitchen, because there is a restaurant on every corner!” Needless to say, her love for restaurants did not invoke much knowledge in the kitchen department for her three daughters! Don’t get me […]

Be Still and Know I am God

By Dana Rausch / January 12, 2011

January 12, 2011 I was listening to a song that a young woman I know recorded. I listened to it over and over again because the words and music were stunning, but also because I was in awe of her voice. I knew her when she was in Junior High school! To see the young […]

Rivers of Flowing Water

By Dana Rausch / January 10, 2011

January 10, 2011  While reading a book, I fell asleep on the couch last night. At 1:30am one of my dogs was relentless in trying to get my attention and let her outside. When I opened the back door, she sat down and looked at me. I thought for a moment that the sprinklers were […]
